Disney Run Singapore is finally here, and Southeast Asia has never seen anything quite like this particular Sunday morning at Palawan Green.
What makes Disney Run Singapore a first for the region
Disney Run Singapore 2026, presented by UNIQLO, takes place on 5 July at Palawan Green, Sentosa. Organised by RUNRIO, the family-friendly event combines fitness, friendship, and Disney magic in a fun run experience inspired by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and friends.
This is a significant moment for the region’s running scene. While Disney-themed races have built passionate followings elsewhere in the world, this is the first time one arrives in Southeast Asia, and Singapore gets to host the debut.
The event runs from 6:30am to 9:30am, and admission starts from S$50. It is a non-competitive event, so there are no official finishing times to worry about. The focus is entirely on fun and togetherness.
Race categories: which distance suits your family
The event is suitable for both casual participants and more active runners. Participants can choose between a 5km route, a more relaxed 3km option, or a 1km parent-and-child category intended as a shared family experience.
The 1km category is designed as a parent-and-child pairing. It requires 1 adult (parent or guardian) and 1 child to run together as partners. Children must be aged 4 to 12 to take part. Participants aged 12 and above can register and run independently without a guardian.
Note that event T-shirts for the 3km and 5km categories are available in adult sizes only. The organiser recommends checking the size chart during registration to choose the best available fit for your child. For the 1km category, adult shirt sizes range from XS to 4XL, while children’s sizes start from 3 to 4 years and go up to 14 years old.
What your family receives on race day
Every registered participant receives a full race kit. Runners receive themed race essentials from RUNRIO, including a drawstring bag, finisher’s towel, finisher’s medal, and race bib decorated with fan-favourite Disney characters.
There are 4 race shirt designs featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck, assigned at random. The sponsorship builds on UNIQLO’s global “MAGIC FOR ALL” collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, which integrates Disney characters into apparel collections and in-store experiences.
Beyond the kit, the celebration will continue at the race village, where themed activities and interactive experiences will bring the Disney universe to life. In the lead-up to race day, selected UNIQLO stores across Singapore will also host Disney Run-inspired activations for fans.

Industry perspective on family running events in Singapore
Singapore’s mass participation running scene has matured considerably over the past decade. Events that combine character-driven themes with inclusive distance options remove the barrier of entry for families who may not identify as “runners.” The 1km parent-and-child format is especially well-designed, because it turns a fitness activity into a shared memory. Parents who complete a short, themed route with a young child are far more likely to return to future running events, and to bring more family members with them. The addition of a proper themed race kit, including a finisher’s medal and character bib, gives children a tangible connection to the experience. This approach builds long-term community participation, not just one-time attendance.

The parent or guardian must register as the main participant. During the registration process, simply click “Add Another Participant” to enter the child’s details as the second participant. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Race pack collection will be held on 27 and 28 June 2026, between 11:00am and 7:00pm, at Orchard Central, UNIQLO Flagship Store. Participants must present their confirmation email and a valid ID for verification upon claiming.
Changing shirt sizes is not permitted after the registration form has been submitted. Participants are advised to refer to the race shirt size chart on the online registration site before confirming their selection. Also note that entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred or transferred.

Practical tips for families on race day
Palawan Green is part of Sentosa, so plan your journey carefully. The event starts at 6:30am, and Sentosa can be warm and humid at that hour. Light, breathable clothing is strongly recommended for both adults and children. UNIQLO highlights performance-oriented items like DRY-EX quick-drying tops with breathable mesh and Ultra Stretch bottoms as ideal for participants preparing for the run.
Baggage tents will be available at the venue. Bring sunscreen, water, and a fully charged phone for photographs at the character zones. Your official race number (bib) must be fully visible at all times and worn in front. Arrive early to allow time for bag drop and the walk to your start corral.
